Privacy notice
This site collects as little as it can. There are no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising trackers. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the contact form.
Who is responsible
Aequus Money is a brand of Moobil Ventures SASU, Clamart, France, which is the data controller for this site. For any question about this notice or about your data, write to privacy@aequus.money.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form we store exactly these fields:
- Name and email address — required, so we can reply.
- Organisation and area of interest — optional.
- Your message.
- The date and time of submission and your browser's user-agent string, kept to diagnose delivery problems and spam.
Your IP address is used momentarily to rate-limit bursts of submissions and is never written to storage. We do not enrich, profile, or cross-reference what you send, and we never sell or rent it.
Browsing the site otherwise leaves no record with us: no cookies are set, no analytics script runs, and no account is created. A preview-only typeface control stores a single preference in your browser's local storage; it never leaves your device and is not present on the public site.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use your submission solely to answer your enquiry and, where it leads somewhere, to carry on that business conversation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where you are asking about an engagement, taking steps at your request prior to a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). We do not send marketing email, so there is no marketing list to be added to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted within 24 months. Where an engagement follows, the correspondence is kept for as long as the relationship lasts and then for the period French commercial and tax law requires. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of processors. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.
- Vercel — hosting, and the storage where submissions are written. Records are stored with private access and are not reachable from a public URL.
- Mailgun — delivers the notification email. Our sending domain is configured in Mailgun's EU region.
- Google Workspace — the mailbox that receives it.
- Cloudflare — DNS for aequus.money. No analytics product is enabled.
- Google Fonts — the site's typefaces are requested from Google's servers when a page loads, which discloses your IP address to Google. We plan to serve the fonts from our own domain to remove that transfer.
Some of these providers are established in the United States. Where data reaches them it is transferred under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, ask us to restrict how we use it, receive it in a portable format, or object to our use of it. Write to privacy@aequus.money and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the CNIL, the French supervisory authority, at cnil.fr.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes to how we use existing data will be notified to anyone affected.
